Its most famous six holes are high on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Tall timbers meander around a large lake in the back nine. The 3rd hole is one of the most spectacular holes in golf. Players hit over the ocean to a cliff top green. Referred to as “Hogan’s Hole.” Television personality Paul Hogan made the hole famous after shooting an advertisement featuring its unique setting. While the ocean cliff-top holes seem to get all the acclaim, the inland holes covering more dramatic terrain – from the 10th to the 15th – not only offer a starkly different golfing experience but are very good holes in their own right.
