These 6 AFFORDABLE video backdrop ideas for my YouTube videos make filming a DREAM even in SMALL SPACES! I have created a super quick and easy setup system for a small bedroom in my home where I can crank out awesome content all while having a nice view from behind!! lol And the best part of all, I don't have to take backdrop down to put another one up!! YES GUYS!! Everything is setup right here together so I can flip between looks in LESS THAN 2 MINUTES! Amazing Right?!?!?! For these video backdrop ideas, you will need the following: 1. 1 PVC Pipe from you local hardware store (I have two; one cut down to 8FT and one cut down to 6 1/2FT) 2. Athleisure Fabric (spandex or elastane) from your local fabric store or ordered from online. I preferred to buy mine from JoAnn's Fabric because I could see and feel the fabric before purchasing it. My fabric measures 6FT X 8FT. 3. Clamps and Hooks: The number of fabric pieces you hang will determine the type and how many clamps and hooks you will need. I used the clamps to hang the fabric and S hooks to hang the fairy lights. 6. Lights: I ordered a set of fairy lights (9FT X 9FT) from Amazon in the color "warm." In addition, I have my ring light behind me to create a halo effect. You can use different directional light sources to achieve the halo look. Design Notes: 1. I took down my fabric and rehung it widthwise on the x axis rather than lengthwise. This is because I'm filming on a 16mm lens and the edges of the fabric could be seen on camera. Simple fix. You may need more yards depending on how far away from your background you will be when shooting. 2. I've purchase another set fairy lights to fill in those gaps to make for a more sparkly background. I've also purchased more S hooks to even space the lights out across the backdrop. 3. I swapped out the 6 1/2FT PVC pipe for the 8FT one. This will ensure there is no sagging in the middle due to the weight of the fabric. Total Project Cost: $46.78 Don't forget to give this video a THUMBS UP and drop a comment down below and tell me which color/light combo is your favorite!!
