Up to 500 eruptions daily mean more than 20 times each hour - day and night. For a safe and unforgettable visit, we must pay close attention to the alert level. Visiting during low-level eruptions (Level 2) allows us to witness the volcano's fiery beauty up close, and experienced guides ensure a secure experience. Checked into a hotel located not far from the White Grass Airport. Joined the volcano Safari tour in the afternoon/evening. D3 - Stayed another day on Tanna Island (in case the weather on the previous day was not good, there would be another day of buffer). Visited other places on Tanna Island. D4 - Flew from Tanna Island to Port Vila ------------------------- EXPENSES PER PAX Air Vanuatu flight tickets (Port Vila to Tanna return): AUD 341.60 Accommodation on Tanna Island including breakfast (2 nights): AUD 290 Volcano Safari Tour: 19,500 vatu or AUD 250 In short, it's not cheap but it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
