On this 800m long street you will find no less than 200 shops that sell pretty much everything that a Japanese senior citizen needs and loves. Of course it includes a lot of food and clothing stores but you can also find a great selection of traditional sweets including the Shio-Daifuku, a salty pounded rice cake containing sweet bean paste. Finally, if you have the opportunity to visit this place, make sure to visit the Togenuki Jizo temple located halfway down Jizo-Dori street where people line-up to wash its sacred statue with water and towel to later press on their body to heal any pain they may have.
