Astronaut Richard Garriott W5KWQ was at the ARRL booth discussing his ham space activities for the 2009 Dayton Hamvention in Dayton Ohio. Dave Larsen KK4WW met with him and had a nice dicussion and some photo ops. I David a director of the Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service (FAIRS) and was with a group of FAIRS members. FAIRS also has had a booth at the Hamvention for many years and it is managed by Gaynell Larsen KK4WW. This year she was assisted by Helen Goncharsky UR5WA and others. Other FAIRS members attending and helping were Esmond Jones 8R1AK, Alex VE3VDX, Victor Goncharsky US5WE, Tom King W4VZH and Micheal Herring KE4RGY.
