The road condition from Tumkur to Shimoga is average but the road after Shimoga till Gokarna is just amazing - superb condition and greenery all around. Jog falls is on the way so make sure you make a quick stop during your journey. While returning we changed the route a bit - Gokarna-Kumta-Shimoga-Chitradurga-Sira-Tumkur-Bangalore.
