Bate Graphics: Chris Harvey Music: Mark Cooksey Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Released in 1985, the C64 version of Airwolf is nothing like the TV show on which it's based. For one thing, I don't recall ever seeing a helicopter being flown underground through some weird network of caverns, shooting up walls and dodging crashing boulders. I'm pretty sure this would have been an existing game which, at some point, Elite acquired a license and decided to stick on the game. Players must pilot the titular Airwolf chopper, locating trapped civilians and transporting them back to home base. You'll have to destroy walls and obstacles to travel through the caverns, and there are occasional enemies to avoid. The inertia mechanic and controls will get on your nerves pretty quickly, as you bounce off the rocky walls and come to a swift and explosive death. We're still in relatively formative years of the C64, so I guess this isn't terrible for 1985, but it's not any fun. Quite how this got 88% in ZZap!64 magazine is beyond me...
