Persian HAMBURGER MOUNTAIN in Shiraz, Iran! Amazing SHIRAZI Iranian STREET FOOD!

🇮🇷KOOTOOK TRAVEL:   / kootooktravel   🇮🇷MR. TASTER:    / themrtaster   ⚽️BUY IRAN JERSEYS: http://www.eBay.com/usr/iranjersey After an incredible morning in and around Shiraz, I continued visiting more sites before ending my day with some incredible Iranian fast food! I linked back up with my friend Mr. Taster after he took the morning off, along with my friends at Kootook Travel. We’d be exploring the historical center of Shiraz, where you’ll find the citadel, the Grand Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. We’d also be having some Persian hamburgers! 📝SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER: https://bit.ly/3JR71yN 🌎 MY TRAVEL BLOG: https://davidsbeenhere.com/ We started at the Citadel of Shiraz, which was the first citadel I’d seen in Iran. It dates back to the 18th century and used to be the governor’s house. It’s massive and beautiful and has 14-meter-tall watchtowers! Inside are gorgeous gardens and fountains. You can see the four towers from the courtyard, and there’s a hammam here with lots of intricate decorations on the walls. I could see pools and fountains inside. Back outside were vendors selling juices and sweets, including sohan! I loved them. They were crispy and tasty, with lots of cardamom. Further on, we saw shops selling carpets, copper work, and more. Unfortunately, the Vakil Mosque and Grand Bazaar were closed because it was a holiday. There were only a handful of vendors outside who were open, who were selling spices, clothing, and pottery. But we could still admire the incredible tilework on the exterior of the mosque. I loved the colors and the beautiful geometric designs. We arrived at a spice shop, where I tried a bit of cardamom from India. It tasted incredible! I bought 100 grams for $4. Next, we drove to the Tomb of Hafez, which is a mausoleum with an arcade area with tons of pillars and gardens. The tomb dates back to 1395. Past the arcade area is the tomb, which is intricately decorated. It was packed when I visited! Outside, we found a vendor selling tea and dates. He had lots of pots over a fire right out on the street! The dates were really nice and the tea was hot and perfect. I liked that it didn’t contain any sugar. Then, we tried some cotton candy! Then, finally, we headed to get some burgers at Wimpy Pizza & Burger 110. Along the way, we saw vendors selling chickpeas and broad beans on the street. Inside the burger shop, we headed into the kitchen, where they were butchering fresh meat. They refrigerate it and grind it. They were making huge burgers on their grills, as well as shawarma. Everything was fresh! I watched them add salad, tomatoes, celery, basil, and more to the burgers. They also make pizzas and hot dogs loaded with cheese and mushrooms. They all looked amazing, and the spot was super busy. The burgers were inside a fluffy, fresh bun that held up to all the toppings inside. The basil and tomatoes were great, and I loved the creamy salad inside. We also had some mayo-based sauce we could add to them, as well as some chilies. The chilies weren’t hot, but the sauce had a nice kick to it! Then, we jumped on the hot dog, which contained cheese and mushroom. It was fantastic! What a way to end our day!
