Mida is a marriage ceremony of Apatani tribe of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Mida is hoisted and organized by the parents of the bride in the honour of their Son -in-law. In this ceremony Daughter and son-in-law are gifted and blessed with traditionally preserved meats and other ritually important articles like brass plate, bells, beads and squirrel. This ceremony marks the final farewell of daughter from her parents home after the marriage. This video is all about the final day of Mida; when the Mida group at first takes a short rest at a house choosen as "Dui Gogi" (resting place) before their arrival at main "Mida"(marriage) house. Mythologically, a Mida group is compared to a serene flock of Hornbill which during their course of long flight takes rest in a safe and sound place called Dui Gogi and then continues their further journey.
