Chlamydia-free Kangaroo Island koalas find new home in an Adelaide Hills sanctuary | ABC News

Twenty-eight koalas have been transferred from bushfire-ravaged Kangaroo Island to establish a disease-free colony on the South Australian mainland. The Kangaroo Island koalas are the only in the country that don't suffer from chlamydia and an AIDS-like condition known as koala retrovirus.
