Outdoor Exploration with Emily: our big chicken has an impacted crop!

Our lovely big chicken has had an impacted crop for a week. In this video we show you how we're dealing with it at the moment, and discuss some basics of chicken anatomy. The Outdoor Exploration series continues each Monday and Friday, and is funded through a Responsive Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Bowen Island Community Foundation, Bowen Island Municipality and the Vancouver Foundation. --- --- --- --- --- http://wildart.ca The 2020 pandemic has necessitated the cancellation of the programs I usually run, but as an explorative learning facilitator and foraging tour leader, I can't just stop sharing the wonderful world of exploration and discovery, so for the next few weeks I'll be sharing my discoveries here. Come exploring with me! At this time there is a great need for personal isolation, but that doesn't mean we have to stay inside. Put on whatever protective gear you need to get you safely out where the wilderness begins and get exploring! I live on a small rural island and have a great wilderness at my backdoor, and sometimes we'll explore the concrete and backyard wilderness, as well. The idea is not to show you the world, as much as it is to provide inspiration for exploring. I hope you'll get out and explore your world!
