Mini-Vlog: Thunderbirds (1965) Animation Review

Thunderbirds is a puppet stop-motion animated series from 1965 which is set in an alternate future of 2065, featuring a family-run organization called International Rescue and their efforts to save lives using their high-tech Thunderbird vehicles. This review covers the original series, as well as its two feature-length movies "Thunderbirds Are GO!" and "Thunderbird Six". The Zero-X flight to Mars in "Thunderbirds Are GO!" was the point at which the following series "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" was created, as Colonel White mentions that Captain Black's vessel was a Zero-X model too. This series was made by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, who are also responsible for "Stingray", "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons", "UFO", "Joe 90", "Supercar", "Fireball XL-1 Alpha" and "Lavender Castle" among other projects. I was fortunate enough to meet two of the original Thunderbirds voice actors at a convention in 2017. I met Shane Rimmer (voice of Scott Tracy) and got his autograph on my Supersize Thunderbird 1 playset. I also met Matt Zimmerman (voice of Alan Tracy) there, but didn't get his autograph.
