The National Diversity Council introducing Implications of Recent Legislation on DEI. Based on feedback received from multiple partner organizations nationwide, we partnered with FordHarrison LLP - one of our founding partners of the Florida Diversity Council chapter - to hold a national partner exclusive DEI Best Practice Roundtable focusing on "Implications of Recent Legislation on DEI". In this session, a panel of legal experts spoke to the following topics and opened up the floor to questions from our partners. This session was moderated by our NDC CEO, Anika Rahman, who holds a JD from Columbia University School of Law. - Affirmative Action - Religious Accommodations - Protections on Speech - State Law Impacts on DEI Efforts This segment aims to provide guidance and legal clarity on how recent legislation affects our partners. This segment will be a safe and open forum composed of NDC partner representatives who are committed to DEI efforts and the Council's work.
