This 43-mile Appalachian Trail section hike begins at the Vermont/New Hampshire border and heads southbound to Route 100. Early autumn weather invites droves of mushrooms, a great crop of feral apples, and a first look at leaves taking on their fall glow. (leaf peeper alert) My trail name is Prime Time and I section hike the AT (Appalachian Trail). My hiking companion on this trip is "Old", his trail name! He saw a great weather window and picked the section and the dates for our hike. Off we went! This was my first time hiking in Vermont. Will it live up to the 'no views' reputation?
