Beam 287S Central Vacuum

Here I'm showing is our Central Vacuum in our house that was requested to be seen. We overall only have two Central Vacuums (The other one is the Eureka at our shed) but we did owned 3 for some time. Our 3rd Central Vacuum was a MD Silentmaster with a Stealth powerhead kit that we installed brand new when we built our last cabin from like 2004 until we sold the place in 2007. Anyway so we had this since it was installed brand new when we had our house built in 1991. We have a total of 8 inlets inside (Some of them say "BEAM") plus an inlet for the unit outside. At first we originally had 7 inlets but our house got extended in 1994 so we added an extra inlet inside plus we later bought two more air driven turbocat kits for one on each floor. We've had this fix a few times. One time when we had this fixed maybe 10 years ago, we then upgraded to an electric kit that we now use mainly because it works better than our air driven kits. We had 3 turbocats before but one of them was thrown away so we later replaced it with another one I think in 2002 but that one had grey decal markings instead of purple. The other one which was our original one we threw out because it was broken but that one was fully grey in color with silver decal markings on it. One of our low voltage hoses doesn't work anymore sometime ago. We had the motor replaced on the unit I think maybe 8 years ago. And replaced one inlet a few years ago which is the one I did the demo on. But overall, my folks and I still love this vacuum. My dad wanted to get a central vac system because my grandparents has a central vacuum at their place and I bet my mom wouldn't want to drag the Kirby in this big house anyway. Also this central vacuum was the one that convinced my aunt to get one at her place about 16 years ago. When this house gets remodeled again in a few years, my folks are interested in getting a VacPan for in the kitchen since we had one at our cabin that they really liked as well as my aunt's and my uncle's place. Overall it's a good vacuum, but I'm not too crazy about it. I love using this because I think central vacuums are really fun to use but I really don't like Beam or any central vacuum units that have the inverted bag or self cleaning filter system. It's the most messiest systems. It's so bad that I always take a shower everytime I clean these systems out (Even though I am doing it correctly). I'd take a bagged or cyclonic system any day over these. Other than that, this still has really good airflow even when the filter gets dirty. I remember the motor this had before had much better airflow before if got replaced and I also liked the sound of that old motor better. As I said before, the electric kit is better than using the turbocat kit because the turbocats don't really deep clean carpets. We still use the Rugrat alot for like couches, rugs, and stairs. The powerhead on this as you can see it has a burnt out headlight because this has an issue with burning out headlights everytime you put a new one in for like each use but the brushstrips has been replaced a few times (By the way I couldn't find the manual for this powerhead). It overall does really good because it has very powerful agitation but the brushroll sometimes likes to bend and get very noisy. Overall, I liked the central vacuum from our cabin better than this one because It was bagged and it's alot more fun to use than this one. I'm definitely planning to getting a MD Silentmaster with a Stealth kit because in my opinion, that's one of the best vacuums I have ever used. They also have the best warranty and the best customer service I have ever experienced. I thought about several other brands but they've changed some things a little that I didn't like.
