Roland HP-603 Digital Piano Demo | PMTVUK

http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/catalogsea... The Roland HP603 is an upright digital piano from Roland's Lifestyle series of contemporary pianos and as well as sounding pretty amazing it has been designed and styled so that it blends with contemporary modern-day furnishings and won't look out of place in your lounge, music room or studio. Three different finishes are available for the HP603 and aside from the Contemporary Rosewood finish shown here it is also available in Contemporary Black and also in White. So now let's look at the piano itself ... Some of the technology used here was originally derived from Roland's infamous V-Piano which debuted in 2009 but which now is being used on several other Roland digital pianos including the HP603. This particular model is powered by the latest version of Roland's acclaimed SuperNATURAL Piano Modelling technology, it also has a unique keyboard that blends wood and moulded materials for great feel and durability. Press a key on most digital pianos and you’ll hear a recording of a piano note. But Roland's SuperNATURAL Piano technology works differently, using the latest modelling technology to recreate, rather than replay, the sound. The unique modelling process spans the entire sound creation process of a typical piano including the combination of notes played, their resonance and the way in which the piano’s many elements interact with each other. The result is a rich, complex sound - complete with overtones - that actually changes in response to the way you play. As strange as it may sound, a completely wooden keyboard is not the best approach for a digital piano, as wooden keys need regular maintenance to keep them in the best condition. The HP603 has a new type of keyboard that blends wood and moulded material for the best of both worlds - beautiful wooden sides give each key a familiar, rigid mass that feels just right to play, while the durable inner frame means you can enjoy your Roland piano every day for years to come without worrying about reliability. It’s not just the feel of the keys either, the way they move is also important. Each key has a stabilizing pin to ensure the vertical travel of the key is smooth and precise, avoiding the sideways key movement and noise experienced when playing glissandos on some pianos. Since the HP603 has the latest piano engine onboard, Roland have also re-tuned the key sensing system to match it, ensuring that the sound and keyboard work in complete harmony for the ultimate piano experience. Finally, the keys share the look and feel of real ebony and ivory, and their moisture-absorbing properties mean your fingers won’t slide off when playing. In recent times, the way that people learn how to play the piano is changing, thanks in part to smartphones and tablets along with on-line internet tuition. Whether you order your music scores from an online store, or you prefer a more advanced approach, the HP603 fits around the way you like to play. Using iOS apps like PiaScore gives free access to over 70,000 classical music scores - and by pressing the piano’s pedal you can even turn the pages of the score on your iPad/iPhone screen. The headphone input means that you can play or practice without causing disruption or irritation to the rest of the household - even late at night, and Roland have optimised the sound from the headphone input using their Headphone 3-D Ambience technology so that the pianist hears the sound as though it were coming directly from the piano and not relayed through headphones. Many thanks to our pianist Nigel for some a great performance.   / pmthouseofrock     / pmthouseofrock     / pmthouseofrock
