The four hour theory

Lee McAteer from AmeriCamp meets us in the Startup Van in Manchester on our road trip from London to Dublin to find out why 9/10 startups are failing in the first three years. Lee makes some very good points about companies going for funding and says the company should be focusing strongly on sales instead of looking for someone else’s money and what is the fine balance in the two. Lee feels we all should take a step back and actually see do we need the funding in the first place, do you have friends or family that can help out or even going to the bank for the capital, because at the end of the day you have to pay the money back at some stage anyway and why give a chunk of the company away. As discussed in this interview we do know it's not the same for everyone, some companies do need sizeable capital when starting. This interview goes into some very interesting facts regarding starting and growing a business and there’s even something juicy that a Dragons Den participant said to him. Massive thanks to Soldo for working with us on this road trip!
