Ulf Müller and his music project "Projekt Ich" are excited to announce the release of the fifth single, "Don't Wake Up" from the upcoming third studio album. This release is accompanied by a "Remix Edition" and an "Instrumental Remix Edition" featuring a total of nine high-quality and diverse remixes by artists from Sweden, the USA, and Germany. Following the success of the extended singles “Paméla Amen feat. LISA PUNG” “Dad feat. Madil Hardis”, “Der Westliche Mann feat. GOUDI” and “Peace Is A Wonder feat. Ottoextrem”, “Don't Wake Up” significantly expands Projekt Ich’s catalog. The full album is set to be released in spring/summer 2025 through the renowned German indie label Echozone. For “Don't Wake Up” Ulf Müller enlisted his long-time musician friend Alex Braun from !distain in Bavaria as the vocalist. The lyrics, penned by Ulf, tell the bittersweet story of a teenage love doomed to fail and the desire to remain in a dream to avoid the pain of reality. The single also includes the B-side track “An Angel On Earth” sung by Ulf himself, which impressively complements the thematic range of the release. The haunting saxophone performances on both tracks are once again provided by Manuel Trabucco from Italy, adding a special emotional depth to the songs. Musically, “Don't Wake Up” is an immersive synthpop song that is both melancholic and danceable. Inspired by the legendary sounds of the 80s, the track creates a magical atmosphere that evokes deep emotions. The versatile remixes come from talented artists such as Statik SeKt, Fragile Child, Hexify, Ubalt, Un(d)AbtanzBAR, Tonschleifer, Restriction 9, Diar Black, and Terrance Pryor. In the coming weeks, music videos for the two main tracks will also be released to provide a visual representation of this musical journey.
