Navigating the Occupational/IO/Psychology Job Market

List of Speakers: Kirsty Lauder: Having studied Psychology at the University of Sussex, Kirsty then went on to do her Masters at Birkbeck, where she continued on to complete her PhD on the subject of ADHD within the workplace. She has a wide range of experience, working as an SEN caseworker, a planning coordinator on the SEN assessment team, a research psychologist, an associate tutor, and a lecturer. Most recently, Kirsty has taken a role as a postdoctoral associate at Cornell University. Her research interests include diversity and inclusion, neurodiversity, ADHD and disability within the workplace. Ifigenia Constantinou: Having recently graduated from her masters in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham, Ifigenia has amassed experience interning at Bright Network withinbusiness, operations, marketing and consulting. She has also worked at the NHS as a research intern, at UCL as a research and evaluation manager for organisational development and culture change, and has most recently been working as a people and change coordinator at Talbot Underwriting, where she has helped drive the existing culture action plan, and deliver a range of projects including strategy engagement projects, listening forums and mindfulness. Eloise Mason: After completing a bachelor's in Sport and Exercise psychology, Eloise has recently graduated from her Masters in Occupational Psychology. Her interest in psychology began as a sports coach, where she observed changes in motivation, confidence and experienced what skills were essential to be a good leader. She believes that an effective team, supported by a strong leader is a key contributor to a thriving organization. Eloise has recently started a new position as a social research fast streamer for the department for business, energy and industrial strategy. Simukai Sekeramayi: Simukai graduated from Loughborough University with a Masters in work psychology last year, and has wasted no time in applying what was learnt into the workplace. Both prior to, and during his masters, Simukai worked at Cappfinity, both as a resourcing partner, and an associate screener. He then worked at PeopleScout, coordinating assessment centres, before moving on to be a principal in assessment and selection at AMS.
