My views on the controversial Req system introduced in Halo 5. I take a different approach to criticizing it and hopefully it makes sense and you enjoyed it! A couple points I'd like to make. Firstly when I refer to the "Req System", I'm talking about the reward structure as a whole and not the Warzone system specifically. I also say that the Req system is "balanced". That statement is contested and an opinion in it of itself and I actually dont even necessarily agree with the statement myself. But for the sake of my critique I elected to accept the statement as a theoretical truth and believed that even if it was the case it would still be a poor system. My idea was to both dismantle the various defenses for the system and then explain why it doesn't serve its intended purpose. That purpose being to reward players.
