Goechala Trek 2023 | Trek day 2 | Bakhim to Dzongri | The best trek for Mt Kanchenjunga view in India Day 2 - Bakhim to Dzongri (via tshoka and phedang) is around 13 km trek. The distance from Bakhim to Tshoka is 2/3 km. After starting the trek from Bakhim for Dzongri /Goeachala, Tshoka is the second halt where trekkers can take a break or stay for the second night. Tshoka is a beautiful village in the hills with a beautiful monastery, some trekkers’ huts, canteen and views of enthralling mountain ranges. There are a lot of charming rhododendron trees, enchanting forest and wooden pathways to reach Phedang. Tshoka to Phedang is around 5/6 km. There was a small wooden hut/canteen. We ate lunch in this hut. This is also a forest area with many rhododendron trees, plants, flowers and birds. After completing lunch we start trekking to Deorali. Phedang to Deorali is around 3 km. There was a small resting shelter for trekkers. Deorali is a huge green valley. In winter this valley was completely snowy. After taking some rest we started trekking to Dzongri, our today’s ultimate destination. Deorali to Dzongri distance is around 2 km. Dzongri is a beautiful campsite between the 360 degree mountain range and this was our second day's halt. Kanchenjunga range and other big mountains, and enchanting vegetation. Traverse through the breath taking snow-capped peaks, vibrant rhododendron forests.
