Visiting one of the most ancient temple/ monastery in Assam, known as Kirtan Ghar or Barpeta Than which is located in the city of Barpeta in Assam. It was constructed back in 1500 AD ! It is a center of Vaishnavism with Vishnu as their main god. It is aesthetically wonderful and very peaceful. I had an amazing time listening to all the histories behind this place.
