This video demonstrates the functioning of electronic application diagnostics in variable area flowmeters and points out the advantages. To increase the application reliability of variable area flowmeters, KROHNE has implemented intelligent algorithms in their electronics: float blockages caused by dirt or pressure bumps as well as compressional vibrations from gas or intermittent flows are identified and signalled. With appropriate corrective measures in the application, measuring accuracy and the service life of the flowmeter can be optimized. Continuous Float Monitoring (CFM) application diagnostics CFM upgrades the existing electronic device diagnostics with float-specific application diagnostics. The new functions come as standard in all sensor electronics and, thanks to intelligent modularity, can also be retrofitted to existing devices by replacing the ESK4A sensor electronics in the field.
