The song, "Daniel" is written by Bernie Taupin (Elton John's songwriting partner), Reginald Kenneth Dwight (Elton John), and Vladimir Cort, and is the first track from the 1973 album, Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player. The album is published by Universal Music. Elton John is one of my favorite artists of all time and he also inspired me to play the piano. When I heard that he was retiring I was sad, and I never saw him live. Rocketman is also being released next month, so I'm doing a cover on this song.
