Horse camping and trail riding outside Camp Verde AZ

Only a few miles off I17 North of Camp Verde AZ, within the Coconino National Forest. Lies a parking lot for equestrian campers. The BLM authorities don't allow regular camping, but welcome travelers with horses to spend up to 14 days. We were given permission to get water from the day use and small camp down by wet beaver creek. There's only maybe a couple days of riding available. Bell trail has a section that's on the side of the red rock cliffs that becomes very narrow. We didn't continue that far as there was alot of hikers there that day. We ventured off on the bikes to check out our next stop outside Sedona AZ. Stay tuned for our next grand adventure.
