Both the AWD and rear-drive Long Range models will have a 99.8-kWh battery that Kia says will deliver 300 miles of range with the single-motor setup. The standard RWD EV9 will have a 76.1-kWh battery that Kia estimates is good for up to 223 miles. Its big size comes with a big towing capacity of 5000 pounds—the same max capacity as the gas-powered Telluride. The EV9's promise of a usable third row of seats will likely attract many families.
