Join Morag Gamble (https://moraggamble.com / https://permacultureeducationinstitut...) in her permaculture garden for another live at 5 clip - this time about Cassava (Manihot esculenta), an incredibly easy perennial green to grow. Cassava is a super hardy and low maintenance plant. Actually Cassava is mostly grown for its starchy root (also made into Tapioca flour). Cassava root feeds around 1/10 of the world population with their main source of carbohydrates. This is good filling food, however the leaves is where you find the most of the plant's protein and vitamins. Listen in for ideas about how to prepare and eat cassava. Do you cook it? Please share your recipes below. Important note: always cook cassava leaves and roots! Feel free to share this clip and all Morag's youtube clips! You can download Morag's free permaculture gardening toolkit here: https://ourpermaculturelife.com/resil... for lots of tips how to create a thriving edible garden with ease. Take a look too at Morag's 4 part permaculture series: https://bit.ly/OPL4partseries . She explores what is permaculture and how to weave it into your life and livelihood. Stay safe. Happy Gardening!
