Как мы стояли на Шипке - How we stood at Shipka was a Russian Imperial Victory song constructed at after the Victorious Battle of Shipka Pass resulted in a humiliating Ottoman defeat. Shipka, is probably the biggest battle fought in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, which led to the Russians invading the Ottoman Balkans establishing Romanian and Bulgarian Monarchies. The Russians and the Ottomans have been sworn enemies since the beginning and this battle pretty much ended the rivalry with a Russian Victory and an Ottoman defeat inevitable. Since then, the song has been added too the Russian Empuire Imperial Songs list and was continuely used until the collapse of the Russian Empire. You will also notice that this is the first Video uses films. This is all the way to 1877 so there is no actual films of the war, so I had to get lazy and used films from the Turkish Gambit and other films regarding the Russo-Turkish War.
