Lots to see! 1. Beautiful close up footage of NATURAL, an 8mR planked in black walnut that we were sure we'd forced into an OCS On Course Start- which by some miracle we came down enough to let them back in! Grrrr!! You can hear I believed Aluette might have been over as well. Shows what I know. 2. GATORAID runs a slick Port-At-The-Pin start and crosses everyone except ALUETTE- well done by a superlative crew! 3. ALUETTE has the clearest air in the light stuff and clearly pulls away. 4. JACKEEN gets gassed air from our last tack, points high up to the line, but ALUETTE got over them and in the light air it hurt them badly. Unusual for ForedeckYoda to be on video in poor form, standing- as I try to stay low and clear of sight lines. Some of what I talked about worked out- but that move to come up and tack in front of JACKEEN made our start. We'll note how these boats come out of prestart reach-reach tacks slowly and burning up time needed to get back up to speed- our B36.7 spins and accelerates a little quicker than 8's. Pro Doug on our main was huge coaching our skipper into maintaining our too-high course...because it hurt NATURAL more than us and depowered them until we dug out from under, in a short but epic duel...won by RAVAGE! ps a.) The pin was very favored for this start line. b.) The air wasn't better to the east nearer the cut for Sodus Bay. c.) Wind almost puked out between races, 5-8 unsteady. d.) My 'Chicken Legs' tall tube socks were the source of our good fortune. e.) J33 crushing us all on corrected time, but all had a blast on a beautiful day! A great way for ladies to stay active, toned, and using their balance on a constantly moving surface...C'mon and get those you love out on the water! Race!
