LazyJ J 20 6L6 vs 6V6 Clean tones

I'd promised a video to one of the guys at the Lazyj facebook group, to help ease the pain of waiting for one of these babies, so here it is! The premise of this came about when I was thinking, who says a tweed deluxe can't do a great clean? We've all heard of the legendary crunch and response of the classic tweed deluxe (and indeed the Lazyj), but the cleans I was getting from the Lazyj were simply divine, and they weren't about to break up soon either! Also, in my review of this amp at my blog, I'd mentioned how the ability to swap between 6L6 and 6V6 valves in the power stage of the Lazyj gave two unique and desirable voices to the amp. http://samsen.wordpress.com/2013/10/1... The amp is running a 5751 and 12AY7 all through the video. For the 6L6 part, I'm running a pair of SED 'Winged C' 6L6s and a Harma GZ34 , whilst during the 6V6 part the amp has a pair of RI TungSol 6V6s and a Sylvania-Hytron 5Y3GT. Power scaling was disabled, so what you're hearing is the amp running full power. I'm playing my trusty ESP TE-202 tele (loaded with Creamery pickups: Baby '71 neck and Nocaster bridge), straight into the bright channel of the amp (vol=3), with the normal channel volume at 12, Tone=12 too with the midboost not engaged. Not sure what setting the bass shift switch was at, although it was the same for both the clips. All recorded using an Audix i5 in to a focusrite 2i2 interface...sorry about the noise towards the end of the video, interface was playing up! Didn't have much time to redo that clip, so just stuck with it! In terms of processing, clips were normalised after adding a bit of compression (setting was the same for both the clips). No EQing was added and the reverb you hear is the amp's own tube reverb. As with recorded clips, I think playing the amp in person, you notice the difference in these valves more clearly. The 6V6 is quieter compared to the 6L6 (the camera mic was distorting for the 6L6 clip), with I think the midrange detail in the 6L6 evident in this video. I'm just jamming around with my own riffs here.
