Just by the comments you can see how ignorant many are on how to adjust a mini lathe. You adjust the backlash by using the 3 SCREWS. The middle adjusts the height "drag" the 2 outer adjust the tilt "backlash". In the previous video you can see the cross-slide backlash    • mini lathe cross slide backlash part 1   There is a very slight rocking along the cross-slide.I am not sure if that is because the cross slide or carriage surface is not flat. This is my first lathe so , not sure. The way you are adjusting the crossslide backlash is tilting the nut at an angle underneath that the screw goes through. I first adjusted it with the coss slide all the way in ,towards the rear ,but then when I brought it to the front I could feel it slightly loose. So I adjusted near the front in the range I do most work as I rarely do anything towards the rear.
