This video takes me back in time to my childhood when I spent countless hours float fishing on the stunning estate lake. It's something I rarely do nowadays, but have to admit that when it comes to pure enjoyment, you just have to forget about huge specimens, alarms and two rods for a minute and simply unwind and chill out in breathtaking scenery. Its rare these days to find a hidden gem, especailly one that's available to all, one that's hidden away from noise and light pollution where tench bubbles erupt around the float top as it nestles agains a Lilly pad, before sinking below the surface. A place where Carp are rare and Tench dominate, Cuckoo's call in the distance and Gold Crests sing along with Mallard chicks picking insects off the surface, it really is a special place. Hopefully this video will inspire you to dust of the float rod, take a step back in time and enjoy what fishing is all about, relaxing, witnessing the incredible countryside that's there for all, oh, and obviously catching a few tench! Catching loads of fish on the float really isn't that difficult, however to do so you really do have to be get up mega early, feed sparingly and pay a little attention to detail.
