But with a little coffee and some diligence, we managed to get our fall garden prep mostly done over the course of a weekend. You can too. It's time to start ripping out the remains of spring crops and getting your beds ready for another round in fall. It's also time to plant flats of transplants, like broccoli, cabbage and kale. We're taking out tomatoes and planting pole beans, gathering up biomass and making compost, fertilizing and liming, throwing around compost from the chicken run and having a great time.
