How to test an electronic fuel pump in under 3 minutes with a Power Probe! This test will work with low-pressure CARBURETOR & high-pressure EFI, We all know how much a pain it is to change fuel pumps that are housed in the fuel tank. If you turn wrench’s long enough, you will someday get a bad brand new one. Here’s some tech tips for you: TECH TIP 1: Always perform this test on the new fuel pump to verify (at a minimum) that it will pump. Remember new parts are not always perfect! TECH TIP 2: For those creative techs out there, here is the advanced tip: Put a fuel pressure gauge on the outlet hose and verify the actual PSI capability of the pump.
