Today I'm wearing our meridian beanie that has pleating around sides and light padding on the top to provide additional body and volume underneath our headscarf and also prevent it from slipping. I’m going to start with our square headscarf and I’m using our 100% pure silk headscarf and to start the first look we're going to take two opposite corners and put them together to make a triangle. Now we’ll take the folded side of the scarf and place it along one ear and you’ll gather all the ends to one side. Once you have all the sides gathered you’ll start twisting them all together. Once you have the majority of it twisted, you’re going to wrap it around itself to create the bun and you can continue twisting the end as you create the bun. When a little bit if left at the end you’ll just tuck up it up underneath or pull it through and you’ll want to adjust the rosette as needed. You’ll also want to adjust the front over the forehead and ears to give you full head coverage. And this is how to tie it with a square headscarf. If you have any trouble getting the rosette to stay in place you can always use a hair tie or safety pin. Now I’m going to show you the same look with a rectangular headscarf. I’m using our oblong batik headscarf and we’ll start by taking the edge and folding it in to hide the seam. Now take the folded edge and place it against the hairline and line it up over an ear again. Now gather the two long ends over to the side and you’ll start twisting the two long ends together. Once you have it twisted, you’ll start wrapping it around itself and you can continue to twist the ends as you go and once you have a little bit left you’ll tuck it up inside the rosette. And you’ll also want to adjust it over the ears and forehead to give you full head coverage and this is our finished look. Let us know in the comments below if you’ll be trying this with a rectangular or square headscarf.
