The definitive Youtube film of the Skiddaw-Ullock Pike ride including the Skiddaw scree descent being cleaned -- that means no dabs folks. It was hairy in places but the Capra is so forgiving and makes techy stuff much easier than my old Enduro. As ever it was super-windy up top, but not too bad to ride. We've done this ride a number of times now and it never fails to disappoint. The Ullock Pike ridge is breath taking and as good as anything we've ridden all over the world. A bold statement but true. Perhaps it lacks the length of some big-mountain descents but it's good. Is there a better descent in the Lakes than this? I'd love to hear in the comments below TIP: Anyone considering riding Skiddaw should check out the weather forecast beforehand and look at windspeed. It gets very-very windy up there making the trail unsafe. The strength of the wind on the tops of these fells should not be underestimated. New films of Lakeland's finest coming soon...
