Painting a REALISTIC Yorkshire Terrier with Pastels ▶ Realistic Pet Portrait by Patricia Otero

This is how I paint a realistic Golden Yorkshire terrier using soft pastels, pastel sponges and pastel pencils on Pastelmat Board. This lovely girl is called Lucy. This was a commission for one of my clients in USA 🇺🇸. The size of the portrait is 40x60cm and it was done using the pastel technique on Pastelmat Board (Clairefontaine). This portrait was recorded throughout several weeks, these are just short snippets of the whole process. I hope you enjoy watching me paint as much as I enjoyed creating this Artwork. A little bit about Lucy from my client's words: "Lucy was with us almost 13 years. She was basically a puppy her whole life. Lots of energy and personality in her eyes. She loved long walks, people and was a real pleaser. We miss her so much" (For those asking why I have the same clothes throughout the video, I use painting clothes, just like some people wear a uniform for work, I have my uniform for painting. It usually consists on an apron, black clothes and/or jeans.)
