So in today's video, I'm going to be showing you the different virus removal options that total AV provides and how to customize them to your liking. So as for the scans that you can do, there are four different ones that you can check out. So first, there's the quick scan, which is where your computer gets a quick once over mainly looking for those viruses hiding in temporary files. To actually do a scan, you simply click on the one you want to do and it just kind of does its thing They grow up so fast on thing. Then there's the system scan which checks every nook and cranny of your system to catch any malware that might be hanging around. This is by far the most aggressive and intense scanner that total AV offers. So it's probably your best bet if you want to do some deep cleaning, I guess of your files. And the most intelligent scanner that total AV provides is deep smart scan, go figure right. So here you can schedule routine scans for malware, tracking cookies, and generally all those unnecessary files to run automatically at your chosen time. To do this, you'll have to go to the settings here and click on antivirus scans. And then you'll be able to schedule what scan you wants and when you want it. And lastly is the custom scan. So this one lets you play detective in a way. So you get to choose a specific file folder or even a whole disk to investigate for any issues. And here you can also choose which files to exclude from these scans, if that's something that you need. Some of you also might want to customize what total AV notifies you of and that's pretty easy to customize, you go to the Notifications tab and you can just kind of enable disable which ones you don't want to be notified about. And in that same vein, there's another feature called Real Time protection, which is how total AV is actively helping you and protecting your system against viruses and malware. And there you can customize how often you want it to notify you what you want it to do when it encounters a virus or malware or anything harmful. And so from there, you can customize it to your liking and determine what suits you best. In essence, it's the automatic section or portion of total AV where the software is working on your behalf in the background. So you don't always have to be scanning things. So that's kind of what it's all about. The next important thing that you should know is the quarantine feature. So it functions as a way for the software to trap and contain a virus or malware in one place by encrypting it so if it detects something in a file or anything that's on your computer, it will trap it in the quarantine area. From there on out you can choose how to deal with it whether it's to delete it, restore or handle it however you see fit.
