Since we've got our van's electrical system started, it's time to jump on over to plumbing and heating systems. Here's an overview of how we installed a space heater and water heater and plumbed them in our van. We are also using a reverse osmosis water filtration system from Waterdrop available here: https://www.waterdropfilter.com/colle... The heart of our plumbing is definitely our ability to store water. We will have storage capacity for up to 64 gallons!! of fresh water using tanks from Agile Off-Road available here: https://agileoffroad.com/product-tag/... Our hot air and hot water heat exchangers work in conjunction with a hydronic furnace from Espar. These were purchased together in a kit and are available through Heatso here: https://www.heatso.com/espar-eberspac... The RV tankless water heater is such a game changer! We are so excited to be able to have hot water on demand in our van as we begin living the van life. Wait till you see what we hook it up to! The diesel heater hydronic system also supplies heat energy to our camper furnace which will heat up the air inside the van on those cold winter nights and keep us nice and toasty warm! The water tanks, though large, will keep the majority of our weight down low and centered over our van's rear axle which will make sure the van stays nice and well-balanced. The water filtration system will ensure that we have safe drinking water anywhere we may roam. Hopefully this plumbing walkthrough helps someone else out who may be building their own DIY camper van.
