The Christmas market and Winter Festivals open from 11th December to 1st January in East Princes Street Gardens. It offers fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle, Scottish National Gallery and Scotts Monument. It is situated a short walk from the Balmoral hotel, Edinburgh Waverly and has many options for accommodation. The Market consists of stalls, German cuisine, mulled wine, crepes, pancakes, funnel cakes, hot dogs, coffee, souvenirs and gifts. The rides/attractions are the Forth one Big Wheel, Techno Power, the Sizzler and Helter Skelter. I would highly recommend anyone to visit as its FREE and is a real great day out for things to do in Edinburgh.
