Take my Advanced Evaluation Quiz here: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz This is what I would do if I had multiple sclerosis. Timestamps 0:00 What is MS? 1:23 What causes MS? 2:47 What would I do if I had MS? 3:43 Take the evaluation quiz In this video, we’re going to talk about what I would do if I had multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a dysfunction of myelin. Myelin is the sheath-like outer covering of the nervous system. It’s kind of like the plastic insulator of a wire. When you lose this, you can develop a lot of neurological issues. The word sclerosis comes from the Greek word that means hardening. Some theories are that MS comes from an infection or genetics. My theory is that it’s a dysfunction in the lipids. The production of myelin is closely connected with the production of cholesterol. In fact, it takes cholesterol to make myelin. Also, the synapses in the brain are dependent on cholesterol. When you have inflammation in a particular area, your body brings plaque, which is a fibers tissue that can clog your arteries or, in this case, cause damage to your nervous system. The cause of this chain reaction is insulin resistance. High insulin and cortisol are at the center of this MS situation. If I had MS, I would immediately do the ketogenic diet. Why? Because keto helps support healthy insulin and glucose levels, which will lower your inflammation. Studies have shown significant improvements when using a keto diet with MS. Give keto a try, and let me know how it works for you in the comments below.
