Using Sunbrella canvas, Jim makes an 80 square foot boom tent for his small Catalina 22 sailboat. Here are some ideas you can use even though Jim is a little light on sewing skill. Now that I have finished the boom tent, I would change the dimensions a bit. I would go for a final finished size of 118 inches long and 88 inches wide. I would skip the taper and just make it a rectangular tarp. This project would be easier if the fabricator had the new worker bee motor that Sailrite sells.
