[Album] Atlantide (2024) | Tuned in just intonation

"Atlantide" is an ambient and drone album tuned in just intonation, about an underwater expedition on the site of Atlantis. All sound sources of this album comes from emulations of 3 instruments : the italian 1960s Farfisa CompactDeluxe electronic organ (emulated by Arturia) the german 1980s Klavins Model 370, a giant-sized piano of 3.7 meters tall (emulated by Native Instruments) and a croatian flute (emulated by Erick Kvist). The Farfisa's background noise was used to make sound textures (like sea waves). MIDI-based music. Cover picture is an edited version of the first underwater photography in History, which was taken in 1899 by french photographer Louis Boutan. All tracks produced, composed, mixed and mastered by Emilien Bandrac, on the year 2023 and early 2024. Special thanks to Paul Erlich (music theorist from Boston) for providing me amazing information about just intonation and tuning theory. ----------------- "Atlantide" est un album ambient et drone accordé en intonation juste, à propos d'une expédition sous-marine sur le site de l'Atlantide. Toutes les sources sonores de cet album proviennent d'émulations de 3 instruments : l'orgue électronique italien Farfisa CompactDeluxe des années 1960 (émulé par Arturia) le Klavins Model 370 des années 1980, un piano allemand géant de 3,7 mètres de haut (émulé par Native Instruments) et une flûte croate (émulée par Erick Kvist). Le bruit de fond du Farfisa a été utilisé pour créer des textures sonores (comme des vagues par exemple). Musique MIDI. La photo de couverture est une version éditée de la première photographie sous-marine de l'Histoire, prise par le français Louis Boutan en 1899. Tous les morceaux sont produits, composés, mixés et masterisés par Emilien Bandrac, sur l'année 2023 et début 2024.
