Three Steam Locos join the Carlisle Variety! Galatea, Leander, 45212, MOD train. 25 & 26 07 23

Three Steam Locos join the Carlisle Variety! Galatea, Leander, 45212, A MOD train. 25 & 26 07 23 Filmed over two days. On the first, I went out to Wetherall to see the Carlisle Yard to Tyne Yard engineer's train before heading to Lazonby to see Galatea / Sierra Leone with the northbound Dalesman. Back at Carlisle I watched Galatea prepare its train for the return journey via the WCML as well as other trains passing through. The surprise highlight was 45212, a Black 5, heading from Fort William to Steamtown at Carnforth with a support coach. Presumably it has not a lot to do with the issues around slam door stock on the Jacobite. However 45212 did appear on the Northern Belle on 29ht July. On the following day Leander took excursion stock to Edinburgh for a series of excursions in Scotland, in lieu of Tornado. I'd expected it to pass through Platform 1, but instead it went through P3. A bonus that evening was a Ministry of Defence working by GBRf from Glen Douglas on the West Highland Line to Kineton. Any observations are my own and not intended to show any authority and may show my misunderstanding.
