The Cat sith is a mostly malevolent fairy or spirit from Scottish and Irish folklore. It commonly appears as a black cat. The cat sith is said to be as big as a large dog and is often seen with an arched back and sharp bristle like fur. The identifying mark of a cat sith, apart from its size is a spot of white coloured fur on the chest of the beast. When around humans the spectral cat will walk on all fours, but some tales say that if you were to sneak up on a cat sith, you may be able to catch them walking on their hind legs and singing to themselves. Thank you for listening. Happy Halloween. Intro Music: Written for me by Bobbin https://bobbin.bandcamp.com/ References: Bowers, A. (2006) Kellas Cats, Scotching the Myth.
