British Airways B747-400 Sunny Afternoon Landing at New York JFK- 6th April 2016- WITH ATC!!

On Wednesday 6th April we travelled from Manchester to New York JFK via London Heathrow with British Airways. The flight (BA177) was operated by a Boeing 747-400, registered G-BYGA, one of BA's newest 747's which made its first flight on 4th December 1998. This 747 was fitted with British Airways new interior which was very impressive and comfortable. The sound from their Rolls Royce RB211 engines was truly amazing. The 747 is such a historic aircraft, named 'The Queen of the Skies'. The flight itself was very impressive, around a 7 hour flight from London Heathrow to New York. We left LHR just 15 minutes late, climbing out over south west England before heading out over Ireland and then across the Atlantic before following the east coast of the USA down to JFK where we landed on runway 22L shortly after 3pm on a nice sunny, but cold New York day. The service onboard was very impressive and i overall had a very good flight with British Airways.
