This MVC Sepsis Workgroup hosted on October 17, 2024 featured a presentation by Akhil Vijay, Director of Quality and Performance Improvement at Garden City Hospital. Akhil Vijay (AK) is passionate about leveraging his expertise to enhance quality healthcare delivery, optimize operational processes, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. He completed his Bachelor of Nursing and Associate Diploma in Hospital Administration in India. Later he finished his MBA in Healthcare administration from Cleary University, Michigan. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Business Administration from University of Cumberland, Kentucky where completing his research on Revenue Cycle Management. Over the past 10 years, he served as Director, Executive Director and Administrator for long-term care facilities, Chief Quality Officer and Director of Operations for acute care hospitals. Currently, he is serving as the Director of Quality and Performance Improvement for Garden City Hospital. He is also one of the Board of Director for Baldwin Society Supporting Older Adults helping the seniors in community.
