The Best Walt's Worm Color: Pat Weiss' Mustard Walt's

Pat designed the Mustard Walt's in the 1990s when he was looking for something to match the Alder Fly Larva on Penns Creek in Pennsylvania, USA. To capture the color he wanted, he took his first foray into homemade dying as nothing on the market was the right color. He recounts that the first day he used it—June on Penns creek which is notoriously difficult fishing—he caught tons of fish. Not long after he accidentally used in on Spring Creek during a sulphur hatch, where he realized it would work for that too. Now, he was even more confident it deserved a place in his box. It turns out that there are lots of bugs that are an orange/yellow/olive color all over the world. Since using it in PA he's taken it all over the US and world where it has continued to prove itself. It's an extremely versatile and we can say that without a doubt every angler should carry some with them. This is one of the best walt's worm colors out there, and you need to try it. Pat was not able to replicate the original dubbing color he dyed, and was nearly running out. So, he gave us a crack at it and our new Eco Warrior Dubbing in Mustard is what we came up with.
