Building an Infinite Reverb from Scratch in M4L (Feedback Delay Network with Lossless Feedback)

In this video we are going to create an infinite and stable reverb which is great for lush ambient sounds. And since we build it from scratch we are going to hack it to create completely new types of FX that can push the boundary of sound design. Reverberation is a key aspect of physical modeling. It can capture the rich acoustics and echoes of a physical space and give depth to our music. In this series of videos I have been exploring physical modeling to not only create realistic sounds -. but also to learn new techniques which I can use in unconventional ways to level up my sound design. You can download the max for live reverb patch: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AonhoPPUFh3siotgh... DISCLAIMER: The patch isn't packaged for easy use, I am just passing it out for educational purposes so you can take a closer look at anything I did in the video. If there is interest in tidying up this plugin for distribution let me know. Most everything I learned to make this video I got from this section of a (free) textbook Julius O Smith from Stanford. This textbook in general has tons of good sections on other physical modelling topics. Check it out and learn more: https://ccrma.stanford.edu/~jos/pasp/... about #Astrobear: Astrobear is the electronic music project of John Janiczek. This project explores multiple genres with a common theme of blending polar opposites like aggressive electro bass lines with gentle ambient melodies. Astrobear was discovered when his remix of Hyperlandia by Deadmau5 was selected as the winner of the Microsoft Original by Design competition. Astrobear released his first track with the Mau5trap label, titled “So Says the Sea”, as a part of the “We Are Friends 11” compilation album. Building off of this momentum, Astrobear is planning to grow the project beyond the bedroom producer gig with an increased focus on releasing and performing his music. ▶︎ Astrobear online: Find my music and content organized at: https://fanlink.tv/astrobear Follow me at:   / astrobearmusic
