I watched a documentary about Grounding / Earthing and wanted to try, but the shoe mods sold online are $40. Here is my DIY version for those who just want to see if it works for them. I ended up putting the short copper wire on both. I prefer the comfort, and it does a similar job. It makes it really easy to pull off the mod if I get caught in a storm with them.
